Part II - Writing Competitions

5. Nature of Competitions

Inkwell operates skill-based writing competitions. Winners are determined by skill-based methods:

  • Two-phase evaluation: AI-assisted preliminary scoring selects the top 5 finalists, followed by public community voting to determine the winner
  • Tournament bracket elimination with head-to-head community voting (Sentence Battles)
  • Peer voting by participants and community members

No winner is ever selected by random chance, drawing, or lottery. No winner is ever determined solely by AI.

VOID WHERE PROHIBITED. Writing competitions are void where prohibited or restricted by law. Entrants are responsible for determining whether participation is lawful in their jurisdiction. See Section 8 for specific geographic restrictions.

6. Entry Fees

By paying the entry fee, you purchase: (a) a unique Story Stone 3D model from your text; (b) professional evaluation; and (c) consideration for prizes based on merit.

  • Sentence Battle: $0.99
  • The Daily: $1.00
  • Weekly: $5.00
  • Gonzo Monthly: $9.99

Entry fees are non-refundable once a Stone has been generated. Prices may change; the price displayed at checkout at the time of purchase is the binding price.

7. Prizes

Every competition winner receives a physical 3D-printed Story Stone shipped to them at no additional cost.

7a. Cash Prize Eligibility
