Netanyahu went into Gaza on September 2, his first visit since the October 2025 ceasefire, stood at the Yellow Line with Zamir and Southern Command, and said Israel controls 60 percent of the Strip, is not withdrawing, and has "largely achieved" the demilitarization of Gaza. Hamas has not disarmed. Both cannot be doing work. The same afternoon Katz told a Ynet conference that Israel is "organised and prepared to get them out - by sea, by air, by every way possible," that Trump has "frozen" rather than cancelled the plan, and that approval will be sought "whenever it becomes clear that Hamas is not meeting its obligations" — a finding Israel makes. Three days later Ambassador Huckabee said "categorically" that no such plan exists and that "nobody is suggesting" forced displacement.
