Most coverage treated it as Trump's war strategy or his regional ambitions. What it describes is something structurally different: the assertion of unilateral American power to appoint and remove heads of state. The counter-read is simple—watch the next 48 to 72 hours. KELI Turning to hard domestic news. Three people are dead and several more wounded after a shooting at an In-N-Out Burger in Idaho. Police responding to the scene found the suspected gunman's body near the restaurant. That's still an active investigation—numbers and circumstances are still being confirmed by the Boise Police Department and Idaho State Police.

HAST The Indonesia ferry fire is now at five dead and 41 missing. The vessel had 271 people on board when it caught fire off Madura island. Coast Guard and rescue teams are still searching, but the scale of the missing suggests the survival window is closing.
