HAST Amarillo Police arrested a 43-year-old man Thursday morning on charges of aggravated kidnapping, two counts of aggravated sexual assault of a child, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Clint Lee Sanford was booked into Randall County Detention Center after officers responded to a 9-1-1 call. APD is asking the public for any additional information related to the case.

HAST Canyon's public safety bond is moving forward. Voters approved a 14-million-dollar measure in 2025, and the Fire Department just rolled out a new 1.1-million-dollar fire engine earlier this month. The truck carries a purple stripe in honor of Canyon ISD. Canyon's also remodeling the police station, building an animal shelter, and renovating the fire station with that bond money.
