KELI From Inkwell, this is the Amarillo News Drop. I'm Keli, with Hast.

HAST Good morning. WT Police are tracking a pattern of stolen electric scooters on campus this year — multiple reports coming in across the West Texas A&M grounds. University Police have bumped patrols in high-risk areas and are asking anyone with information to call them at 806-651-2300. The scooters themselves aren't expensive, but the pattern points to something structural: a campus with unsecured transit infrastructure and, likely, resale demand in town. You'll see this expand if the university doesn't tighten how scooters are locked or monitored. Watch for a formal policy announcement in the next two weeks.

KELI On the state side, Tejano musician Bobby Pulido is running as a Democrat in Texas's 15th Congressional District against Republican Monica De La Cruz. Pulido's pitch is direct — he's positioning himself as the Democrat voters used to support, the kind his own grandmother's generation backed. De La Cruz's camp is casting him as a relic of an old patronage machine. The district includes parts of the southern High Plains and stretches toward the Valley. This is a continuing race, and money and endorsements will start moving fast now that early voting is weeks away.

HAST Different front. Trump has accused Senator John Cornyn and Karl Rove of sabotaging Attorney General Ken Paxton's Senate campaign. That's a direct power play inside Texas Republican infrastructure — Trump signaling he wants Paxton in the Senate race, and blaming two longtime establishment Republicans for blocking it. Paxton has not announced, but Trump's public pressure on Cornyn and Rove suggests Trump sees this as his lane to reshape the party's Texas slate.

KELI Before we close, a history note.

HAST Fifty-eight years ago today, the 1964-'65 New York World's Fair closed its gates after drawing more than 51 million visitors over two years.

KELI That's the Amarillo News Drop. Full script and sources at inkwell.wiki/news/amarillo.

KELI Before we close, a word from Inkwell. This drop comes from the same workshop as Gil's Intelligent Version — the Bible, re-ordered into the sequence events actually happened, and retranslated from the original languages.

HAST Its rule is simple: no author, only method. The full archive is at inkwell dot wiki, slash giv.
