To request a real ballot for the November third general election, call the office at eight zero six, three seven nine, twenty-two ninety-nine. The deadline is Friday, October twenty-third.

What matters structurally is that mail-in ballot applications are expensive to send, and someone spent money to impersonate a county office to your mailbox. That suggests either a political operation testing response rates or a theft crew building a list. Potter County won't say which yet. Watch the next seventy-two hours — if the county names a suspect or the Sheriff's office files a report, that's your answer.

HAST Staying in Texas, federal prosecutors have filed fraud charges against an unnamed school district and employees in what they're calling a pass-the-trash scheme. The details are thin this morning, but the structure is clear: district officials allegedly moved a credibly accused employee from one school to another instead of firing him, then lied about his history on the paperwork. The feds say someone in that chain filed false statements. That's wire fraud territory, and it carries prison time.
