"I do this for our Country, not myself. I've made Hundreds of Billions of Dollars on Stocks, and many other type Holdings, for the U.S.A., not myself, and all I do is get criticized by the Radical Left Dumocrats. Very unfair, but what can you do! President DONALD J. TRUMP"
At 3:17 PM Eastern on Sunday, September 6, 2026, Trump published the post above on Truth Social, attached to an apparently AI-generated image of himself at the Resolute Desk in front of monitors reading "BOUGHT: INTEL $20" and "NOW $95." It came during a posting run of more than ten hours and dozens of AI-generated images: the Strait of Hormuz labeled a "new U.S. Territory," New Mexico relabeled "New America," Lake Ontario relabeled "Lake America," a photograph of the Moon captioned "THE MOON IS OURS," Trump on horseback with George Washington, and Robert De Niro holding a shirt reading "Trump is my president." On Monday he posted a map showing the U.S. flag over Canada, Greenland, Iceland, Mexico, the Caribbean and several Central American countries. The underlying holdings are real and documented. The administration has announced 39 stakes or ownership rights in private companies, roughly $26.7 billion in equity and quasi-equity, spanning chipmakers, rare-earth miners, quantum computing firms, steel and nuclear energy. The largest is Intel: 433.3 million shares at $20.47 apiece, $8.9 billion, a 9.9 percent stake acquired in August 2025 by converting $5.7 billion in unpaid CHIPS Act grants and $3.2 billion from the Secure Enclave defense program into equity, making the U.S. government Intel's largest single shareholder. It is now worth roughly $42 billion. The portfolio sits across at least four agencies — 17 deals through Commerce, seven through Defense, six through the Development Finance Corporation, two through Energy — with no consolidated public ledger, and only the DFC has clear statutory authority to hold equity. Because federal budget rules treat an equity purchase as an outlay with little mechanism for recognizing what comes back, the Intel position's rise from $8.9 billion to $42 billion appears in no budget document. Roughly a third of the government's Intel shares remain in escrow pending Pentagon program milestones, and the clawback and profit-sharing provisions attached to Intel's earlier $2.2 billion CHIPS grant were eliminated. Separately, ethics filings show that accounts held in the president's own name began buying Intel in March 2026, months after his administration's stake sent the stock soaring. No insider trading has been alleged, and the White House says his assets sit in a trust managed by his children.
Ran it as a slop spree. The Moon, New Mexico and the flag map carried the coverage, because they are self-evidently absurd and require no reporting to rebut. The stock claim was handled with a single clause — "the post offered no evidence for the claim" — and then dropped, which is technically correct and analytically backwards: the claim is not unsupported, it is unaudited. There is a portfolio, it has a documented size, and its largest position has appreciated by more than $33 billion on paper. What nobody did was put the number next to the ledger. Two facts sat in public filings the whole time and appeared in almost no account of the post: the gain he was taking credit for is recorded in no budget document, and accounts in his own name were buying the same stock this spring. And for the third time in six weeks, no outlet named the channel — the claim about market gains went out on the platform whose parent company sells institutional customers a millisecond advantage on posts like it.
This is where entries #34 and #38 converge, and the convergence is the story. #34 recorded Trump Media filing with the SEC to sell a real-time feed of "the platform's most market-moving Truths" for $60,000 to $100,000 a month, with the public's delay never established. #38 recorded the largest resource announcement of the year going out on that same feed at 6:47 PM on a Friday. Now the president uses it to claim personal credit for hundreds of billions in equity gains, in a portfolio held by four agencies with no public ledger, invisible to the federal budget, in companies his own accounts have traded. Each piece is documented — securities filings, ethics filings, an SEC filing, agency deal announcements. None of it is leaked and none of it requires an inference. The reason it reads as noise instead of a record is that it arrived attached to a picture of the Moon, and the cycle graded the whole run on the Moon.
